In collaboration with the Suffolk Public Library, SNHS is hosting Afternoon Conversations at the Phillips-Dawson House on November 18 from 2:00-3:00 pm. Our speaker will be SNHS’ very own archivist, Debra Calvin-Smith! She will speak on the abstract artist, Judith Godwin. Judith Godwin was born in Suffolk in 1930 and would move to New York in the 1950s to pursue her artistic career. Her work is held in various museums and galleries today. If you would like to learn more about her life and art, we’d love to see you at Afternoon Conversations! It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
