Afternoon Conversations: Mary Taylor, DAR

Mary Taylor is the lead museum interpreter for the Virginia Beach History Museums where she brings the past to life through engaging and research-drive storytelling. With over a decade of experience interpreting house museums in both Tidewater and Charleston, South Carolina, she strives to make local history memorable by connecting visitors with the everyday lives of all individuals who previously called the museum site home. Mary also serves as Historian for the Constantia Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution where her recent focus has been on compiling and digitalizing archival records regarding the Constantia House. Mrs. Taylor hopes the primary source driven research wit provide a greater understanding of the historic importance of the Constantia House and its deep connection to the City of Suffolk. She holds a Bachelors in History from the College of Charleston.
