Event Details

St. Luke’s Churchpresents this free lecture (pre-registration required) about the witchcraft mania that swept through Salem, Massachussets in 1692. While significant, it has tended to overshadow the historical records of the persecutions of alleged witches in other colonies.

Join Historian Carson Hudson as he explores the often misunderstood subject of witchcraft persecution. Hear insights into the beliefs, occurences, and legal proceedings regarding witchcraft in early Colonial Virginia, separating historical fact from historical fiction. Beware, its not exactly as Monty Python depicts it.
